I used force curves from the chapter "Cycling Biomechanics: Road and Mountain" by Jeffrey P. Broker in the book High-Tech Cycling edited by Edmund R. Burke, PhD. The force curves are an average of 17 road riders at 350W and 90rpm. Reaction force curves at the bottom bracket bearings and chain were calculated from these pedal curves.
